THE CHALLENGE
Griffin was required to work in a Hazmat environment adjacent to an open waterway for this project. In addition, Griffin had to collaborate with the client to meet the drawdown needs while staying within the limits of the client’s treatment system.
THE SOLUTION
Griffin installed a combination wellpoint and deep well system. The wellpoints targeted a shallow water-bearing zone while the deep wells provided pressure relief from a deeper confined aquifer. The discharge piping from these systems had to be routed along a sheet pile wall to a series of collection tanks and then routed to the treatment system.
