PROJECT BRUIN

OXNARD, CA

The site is in Oxnard, California, and consists of a new building pad, one lift station, three storm pumps, and all associated utilities.

THE CHALLENGE

The client had an aggressive schedule. Dewatering the site was challenging due
to geology consisting of layered clay and silt. Several discharge locations were to
be used, which increased the complexity during the scheduling of site work.

THE SOLUTION

Griffin installed a deep well system around the entire excavation zone and additional localized deep wells around the pump stations. Extensive sumping efforts were required to maintain a workable surface. Water was routed to multiple discharge locations and utilized for dust control. The crew worked overtime and on weekends to meet the aggressive schedule needed to keep this project on track.

GRIFFIN DIFFERENCE

Griffin successfully installed the dewatering system and achieved the required
drawdown while maintaining communication and excellent relations with the Client. The Client was happy and impressed with the Griffin Teams’ commitment to project success.
