HOUSTON – At the height of flooding after the costliest storm in U.S. history. Griffin Dewatering arrived on the scene of a client’s flooded construction site.
Gilbane Building Company needed two eight inch pumps to pump the storm water from the basement of the Lyric Center Garage addition project that they are constructing in downtown Houston. Griffin Dewatering delivered two pumps on Wednesday, August 30 to the site in record time. Within 12 hours of contact, they had set up the pumps and were able to pump out the flooded excavation.
Two pumps were also delivered to Hitchcock for a water main break. These pumps were picked up by the contractor on the eve of the storm and extra fittings were delivered during the storm itself.
“I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for reacting so quickly to our Dewatering needs at the Lyric Centre Parking Garage Project following the Hurricane Harvey related flooding of the Lyric parking garage. Utilizing the two 8” diesel driven pumps Griffin provided was critical to getting the garage pumped out so our Tower Cranes could get up and running again. Your willingness to find a safe route to your shop to get us those pumps immediately following the heavy rains exemplifies exception customer service. Thanks again!” – Gilbane Project Manager
